CSR initiatives of SPMCIL with ALIMCO

Under the CSR initiatives of SPMCIL, it has been decided to distribute Assistive Devices to Divyangjan (PwDs) at an estimated cost of Rs.100 lakhs by arranging Camps at Nashik, Dewas, Hyderabad and Hoshangabad. To execute the project, a MOU has been signed on 16/10/2019 by Shri S.K. Sinha, Director (HR), SPMCIL and Shri D.R. Sarin, CMD, ALIMCO at SPMCIL Corporate office in presence of Ms. Tripti P. Ghosh, CMD, SPMCIL. Shri Ajai Kumar Srivastav, Director (Technical), Shri Ajay Agarwal, Director (Finance), Shri B.J. Gupta, Addl. GM (HR) of SPMCIL were also present.

Currency Note Press, Nashik, (a Unit of SPMCIL) has been adjudged as Winners for following two achievements by Maharashtra Safety Awards Competition for the performance year 2018 , organized by the National Safety Council – Maharashtra Chapter, Mumbai on 27th September, 2019. (1) Lowest Accident Frequency Rate in Light Engineering Industrial Group (2) Longest Accident Free Period in Light Engineering Industrial Group, Currency Note Press, Nashik has been awarded with the Safety Awards on National Level as well as on State Level many times in the past also. It is to share that all employees working are very much conscious for Safety while achieving the targets. The award has boosted the moral of all employees and they have committed to continue this tradition for the years to come. SPMCIL pays dividend of Rs.218.48 Crores to Govt. of India for F.Y. 2018-19 in compliance of DIPAM guidelines

SPMCIL has paid a Dividend of Rs. 218.48 crores to Government of India for F.Y. 2018-19 in compliance of DIPAM guidelines. The dividend cheque was presented on 04.10.2019 by Smt. Tripti P. Ghosh, CMD, SPMCIL along with Shri Ajay Agarwal, Director (Finance), SPMCIL to Hon’ble Union Minister of Finance, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman in the august presence of Shri Atanu Chakraborty, Secretary, DEA and Ms. Meera Swarup, Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Finance. SPMCIL has achieved the targets in the production of Bank Notes, Coins, Security Paper, Passports, Security Inks and other Security Products during the year 2018-19. SPMCIL has produced 10482.34 million pieces of the Bank Notes, 5331 million pieces of circulating coins, 6003 Metric Ton (MT) Security Paper, 752 Metric Ton (MT) of Security Inks in 2018-19. The Revenue from Operations of SPMCIL has increased to Rs.5711.34 crores and Profit before Tax has increased to Rs.815.18 crores during the year 2018-19.

Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi released a commemorative coin of Rs.150 on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary on 2nd October 2019 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It is proud to share that the commemorative coin has been minted at India Government Mint, Mumbai which is one of the Units of Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL).

SPMCIL achieves ‘Excellent’ Grading for Compliance of Guidelines on Corporate Governance for CPSEs issued by DPE for the year 2018-19

The Department of Public Enterprise (DPE), Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprise has uploaded the grading report of CPSEs on the basis of their compliance with Guidelines on Corporate Governance for the year 2018-19 on its website. As per the said grading report of DPE, SPMCIL has achieved 'Excellent' grading for compliance of Guidelines on Corporate Governance for CPSEs issued by DPE for the year 2018-19. This is the ninth year in succession that SPMCIL has achieved ‘Excellent’ grading since this concept was introduced by DPE in the year 2010.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Finance for the year 2019-20

SPMCIL SIGNS A GROWTH ORIENTED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) WITH THE GOVERNMENT FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2019-20 ON 28.05.2019 Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited (SPMCIL), a Miniratna Category-I, Schedule-‘A’ Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) signed a growth oriented Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Finance for the year 2019-20. The MoU was exchanged between Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Shri Subhash Chandra Garg and CMD, SPMCIL, Ms. Tripti P. Ghosh on 28.05.2019 at North Block, New Delhi. The MoU is based on the premise of growth in a globally competitive environment and incorporates various parameters and weightages for evaluation of performance with focus, inter alia, Turnover, Operating Profit, Capacity Utilization, Production Efficiency, R&D, Innovation and Technology up-gradation, CAPEX Projects, Trade Receivables, Reduction in Claims against the Company, Return on Investment in JV, Human Resource Management and other Sector Specific result oriented measurable parameter.

SPMCIL Internship Scheme – Nurturing the Young Talent

This Scheme seeks to engage students, pursuing Graduate /Post Graduate Degrees or who are Research Scholars enrolled in Government recognized premier University / Institutions like NIT/IIT/IIM etc, as "Interns". These interns shall be given exposure to various Verticals / Divisions / Units within SPMCIL and would be expected to supplement office work / assignments through data collection and collation of in-house and other relevant information from other sources. The exposure to the functioning of SPMCIL may be an add-on in furthering their future interests. Interested applicants may apply by submitting the application along with the Resume and recommendation letter from their respective Institutes by e-mail to intern@spmcil.com . However if recommendation letter from the institute is not submitted at the time of applying, the same may be submitted at the time of joining. Applications will be received from 1st to 31st March every year for the next financial year starting from 1st April. However for the financial year 2019-20, since Scheme has been introduced now, the applications are invited from 1st June to 15th June by email at intern@spmcil.com as mentioned above.
