| In order to promote the progressive use of Hindi in due compliance of the Official Language Policy of the Union and to encourage all officers/employees towards the Official Language, Hindi Fortnight was organized from 14.09.2024 to 30.09.2024 to mark Hindi Diwas at SPMCIL, Corporate Office. As in previous years, Hindi Diwas and All India Official Language Conference were jointly inaugurated by the Hon’ble Union Home and Cooperation Minister by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India on 14.09.2024 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. SPMCIL organized an exhibition of its products in association with the Department of Official Language in this event. To increase the publicity of the Diamond Jubilee of Official Language, a commemorative coin and postage stamp of Rs. 75 denomination were released by the Department of Official Language. This coin was minted by Government of India Mint, Kolkata. The house magazine of the Corporation office “Abhivyakti” was also released on this occasion. All the competitions during Hindi fortnight at SPMCIL, Corporation office this year were organized with creativity and innovation. The main attraction in these competitions was the essay competition organized for the students of reputed schools of New Delhi Municipal Corporation area. Employees also participated enthusiastically in other competitions. The closing ceremony of these competitions and Rajbhasha Award distribution ceremony was organized on 10.10.2024 in which the winning students of the competitions, employees and the winners of the incentive scheme for doing original work in Hindi were honored by the Chairman and Managing Director by presenting certificates in the dignified presence of Director (HR), Director (Finance) and Chief Vigilance Officer. |
